Halloween is coming and we got you with a perfect Halloween is coming and we got you with a perfect recipe! 

Come to Garrett’s to grab your ingredients and try it yourself!

🎃 1 medium pumpkin (such as kabocha or sugar pumpkin); 1 tbsp olive oil; Salt and black pepper to taste. 

🥩 500 g (1 lb) beef strips (sirloin, flank, or ribeye); 1 tbsp olive oil; 1 onion, sliced 4 2 garlic cloves, minced; 2 tomatoes, chopped; 1/2 cup tomato sauce; 1 tsp smoked paprika or sweet paprika; Salt and pepper to taste: Fresh parsley, chopped (to finish). 

🧀 1 tbsp butter; 1 tbsp all-purpose flour; 1 cup milk; 1/2 cup heavy cream; 100 g (3.5 oz) cream cheese or soft cheese spread; 100 g (3.5 oz) mozzarella cheese, shredded; 50 g (1.7 oz) parmesan cheese, grated; A pinch of nutmeg (optional); Salt to taste 

For topping: 100 g (3.5 oz) mozzarella cheese; 50 g (1.7 oz) provolone or parmesan cheese 

How to make: 

Cut the top off the pumpkin and remove seeds. Rub the inside with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Wrap in foil and bake at 200°C (400°F) for 40–50 minutes, until tender but still firm. 

Heat olive oil in a pan, add onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant. Add the beef strips and cook until browned. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer until the sauce thickens slightly. Finish with chopped parsley. 

Melt butter in a saucepan, add flour, and stir for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk until thickened. Add cream, cream cheese, mozzarella, and parmesan. Season with nutmeg and salt. The sauce should be creamy and smooth. 

Mix part of the cheese sauce with the beef stir-fry (save some sauce for the top). Layer inside the pumpkin: beef mixture, mozzarella cheese, repeat. Finish with remaining cheese sauce and top with mozzarella and provolone. 

Bake and serve: Return to the oven for 15–20 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbling. Serve warm with rice, roasted potatoes, or crusty bread.
